Week 5 -Stukel

 I really enjoyed this weeks assignment on the rhetoric of a coffee shop. Previously, I had never given much thought to the idea of certain spaces using rhetoric through the decor, menu, and general vibe that they attempt to give off. This assignment made me look at spaces in an entirely new way. I now realize that many establishments spend time purposefully choosing to what the rest of the world appear to be minor details. They choose things like furniture, lighting, posters, employees, package design, presentation, and even location, all to give people the idea that their establishment is one thing or another. Overall, I really enjoyed the assignment and the fact that we got to have class in a different place than the AJB, it was a nice change of scenery.
