Chao Dong-Week 5

This week we did an interesting coffee shop speech. On Tuesday, we have been to the Highground Cafe for collecting data. To be honest, I was not impressed in the first place. That place was kind of mundane: cheep decoration, seats and tables are putted everywhere, and the container for my drink is just a plastic cup. It seems the Cafe you could find everywhere. However, before we left, I have to admit that the owner was putting the Cafe that way on purpose. He/she was trying to create a homey environment. Windows face to the west so in every afternoon, sunlight could shine in and makes the space warm and comfortable. This coffee shop assignment shows that every object could have an argument as long as we keep finding.
