Week 6 - Zarif

In Chapter 5(Hiding/Seeking) of Jonathan Saffran Foer's Eating Animals, I could only found little example of the logical fallacy in which he unintentionally presented due to many critical exposures  about influenza viruses and its origins. While having a big blame projected towards the food industry, he somehow made his point in the closing paragraphs near the end of the chapter by juxtaposing a stance between two different country of different populations and geographical factors. He did highlighted that the amount of chicken meat that have been eaten by Americans today is 150 times higher than they used to 8 years ago. Concurrently, Jonathan Saffran Foer mentioned that if China or India (countries that consumed poultry in an aggressive rate but slightly unbalance due to the amount of high poultry farming presented in each respective regions) started to consume the same amount that US citizens had been consuming, it would turn out to be double times higher than the what Americans had been indulging at this moment. Basically, one would not say that this statement is entirely false but it isn't particularly true either. He prioritize the pathos of the prediction rather than the approximate calculations that might have been slightly off from the amount mentioned. So, thats all I could obtain from the Eating Animals chapter in terms of Logical Fallacy since his storytelling of the process had been very interesting and flooded with facts only.
