   I think that the book Maus, by Spiegelman ,was similar to Eating Animals by Foer. Both of the authors spent more time introducing their topic and the authors wanted their readers to realize what is actually going on or what has happened in the past. With both books need we to think deeply and make us reevaluate main issue of the books. Another thing Eating Animals and Maus have in common is the use of irony as comedy but also to make a point. In order to make a point, Spiegelman used both his drawings and his words for his irony and Foer also used illustration at each beginning of chapters. The way in which it is most similar to Eating Animals is the use of animals and sympathy.The use of animals is used in ways in which we feel bad for the mice and hatred for the cats. Foer creates sympathy by revealing the reality to food processing. They each use pathos to make us upset for the humans and or animals being tortured through imagery, just in different ways.
