The book Maus, by Spiegelman ,was similar to Eating Animals by Foer in a number of ways. Maus used logos, ethos, and pathos, as did Eating Animals. Both of the authors spent more time introducing their topic, before completely revealing themselves to us. With both books it felt as if we slowly go to know them as we read deeper and deeper into the book. Also, both authors of both Eating Animals and Maus were Jewish, and integrated this fact into their writing. While this was obviously to be expected by Spiegelman, it was not as expected for Spiegelman to reveal himself to be so. Both authors capitalized on this attribute of  themselves while writing, and used it to further their arguments throughout the book. Another interesting parallel, although perhaps a bit of stretch, is that while Maus carried a main theme of the dehumanization of people, a main theme in Eating Animals was the humanization of animals.
